Clare Allen

Clare is an experienced executive coach with a background in professional services firms. She has worked as a 1:1 and team coach for over 18 years and has also led an internal coaching practice within one of the ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms. She now divides her time between coaching clients and delivering coach training programmes.

Clare tends to work with individuals stepping into leadership roles, taking on more senior roles or wondering what next for them in their career. They are experiencing change in some format and are coming to coaching to explore how they work with this and steer the path that is best for them and their organisation. Areas commonly explored are leadership style and capability, role identity, stakeholder management, impact/influence and career dilemmas.

As a coach, Clare provides her clients with the time and space to step back and explore their goals and challenges in a way that provides them with different perspectives. Her coaching style is direct, open and challenging which she combines with empathy and humour. Clare is a pragmatist at heart and her coaching tends to be grounded in reality and in finding tangible ways forward. Her hope is that you will leave a coaching session feeling like you have worked hard and with a sense of increased resourcefulness.

Clarity of thought, mind-set and action. Being clear on why you take a course of action and being intentional with your next steps. Clients will often say that she can help them ‘see the wood for the trees’ and Clare believes that once someone has more clarity around their situation, they are able to make better and more thought-through decisions.
