The session includes some key tips and considerations for face-to-face and virtual coaching relationships. It looks at an area that coaches often fail to pay attention to - but by paying attention to it, they can set a coaching relationship up to succeed from the first moment of contact with a client.
Being an internal coach
This is a recorded interview between Damion Wonfor and Catalyst 14 faculty member Clare Allen. During the session, Clare shares her insights from the last 17 years working as an internal coach within a professional services firm. She shares key considerations for internal coaches and tips on making internal coaching provisions work within organisations.
The Mindful Coach (Part One)
The benefits of mindfulness are now much discussed and written about, and these speak directly about some of the biggest challenges that face coaches in serving their clients in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) context. Benefits such as an enhanced ability to be present, calm and focused and an increased sense of connection, empathy and compassion are at the core of effective coaching.
When you look at this list of benefits and add to it those connected with general health and wellbeing, it is also apparent that mindfulness can impact many aspects of our lives as professional coaches.
During the below webinar, our programme leader Damion Wonfor will help coaches to understand the benefits and application of a mindfulness practice for self-care and resilience as well as developing their presence. Webinar objectives:
- Explore how a mindfulness practice can develop your emotional intelligence and presence as a coach
- Understand the latest insights on mindfulness from neuropsychology and the reported benefits of mindfulness practice
- Learn techniques for improving presence, grounding and centering as coach
