Going to the Edge – Co-Creative TA in Coaching With Sandra Goddard

Sandra Goddard

Around 20 years ago the co-creative approach emerged offering a fresh perspective within the TA field – and has been developing since in non-therapeutic work with individuals, teams and broader organisation. So, what does co-creative mean from a TA perspective in coaching? I invite you to join an interactive and experiential workshop to explore this question.

The intent is to provide space for us all to ‘play’ and experiment with this approach and how it may serve us as coaches and in our practice in modelling a way of ‘being’ for our coachees. There will be time to experience the impact for you as a coach – through self-reflection exercises, paired and/or small group work. We will also look at how you can weave elements of this approach into your own work with clients.

For example, what can this mean in:

  • how we show up authentically
  • the qualities that we bring as coaches to our work as well as our skills
  • contracting – upfront and during the coaching session
  • fostering a container of ‘safety’
  • how we, as coaches manage the coaching ‘process’
  • aligning with coaching tools/techniques.

Sandra is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist. An experienced executive and team coach, coach supervisor and coach trainer, she has worked with Damion and Liz for many years. As a faculty member within Catalyst 14, she is heavily involved in the coach accreditation process and supporting programme participants through this.

Her interest in TA started in 2002, when as an internal coach, this formed an integral part of her work with individuals and teams and this has gained traction ever since. Sandra blends her use of TA with other creative approaches to help coaches, supervisees and coachees explore beneath the surface.
