Monica Ross, Faculty member
“Partnership and authentic modelling are the hallmarks of my approach I believe that as coaches and leaders, we are “the instrument” and as such self-care and attention to quality relationships are vital. I adopt a systemic view, helping you to see the bigger picture and to understand how you are impacted by and impact on those around you and your environment. I am passionate about the power of self-cultivation and mindfulness as a way to release the potential of others.
I will support you, through somatic exercises to connect to a deep sense of purpose as coach, to
gain greater awareness and develop alignment with your core values for increased impact.”
— Monica Ross
Drawing on her considerable experience in the field of somatics and energy psychology, she helps leaders and coaches to connect to a deep sense of purpose and to develop authentic presence which increases their personal impact and influence. By accessing greater awareness and alignment, her clients become more inclusive. Through practices of mindfulness and embodiment they can become more centered and resilient in the midst of organizational flux.
Monica has a Bachelor’s Degree in modern languages and Postgraduate Diplomas in teaching, training and management. Prior to becoming a coach she ran her own successful business for seventeen years, providing language training to the corporate sector.
Her background in language and NLP allow her to identify the inner dialogue that keeps clients stuck in old patterns. She supports them to access an embodied sense of purpose and to create powerful and energising language that inspires them to action.
Monica has trained extensively in somatic, energetic and embodied practices over the past fifteen years.
She is a leadership embodiment coach and is approved by Wendy Palmer, founder of leadership embodiment as a leadership embodiment teacher. She has trained in Otto Scharmer’s Theory U and is a facilitator and practitioner of dialogue for leadership.
She helps leaders and coaches to become powerful catalysts by developing their own personal practice.
Monica provides group supervision on open programmes for an international coach training organisation. She has been a Senior Faculty Member with an international coaching supervision organization for almost ten years, contributing to accredited training supervision programmes in the UK, France and USA. She has been instrumental in introducing leadership embodiment as a core element in supervision programmes.
She has previously held the role of Co-President of the Irish Chapter of the International Coaching Federation and served on the European Leaders committee. She is a Trustee of the Experiment in International Living, a charitable organization that provides intercultural experiences and sustainability awareness for disadvantaged adults.
Monica has an international client base including CEOs, entrepreneurs, leaders in universities, education, and executives in global organizations. She has conducted Embodied Leadership training in Scandinavia, Europe and UAE; she also mentors on the leadership embodiment coach training programme. As a supervisor she works with senior internal executive coaches in public and private organizations, nationally and internationally.
