Supporting you with free mindfulness sessions in November

“Our mind becomes more spacious, more open, and happier as we move past our avoidance and denial to see what is true.”

— Joseph Goldstein

As England moves into a full month of lockdown during November, we will be offering free mindfulness sessions throughout this month to help you find a regular space to let go and focus on your self care.

I will be guiding each mindfulness session live via a Zoom webinar for up to 30 mins, and these will take place at 08:00 UK time on the following dates:

  • 9 November
  • 12 November
  • 16 November
  • 20 November
  • 23 November
  • 26 November
  • 30 November
  • 4 December.

Simply join each session here on the relevant date using the following passcode: 120268.

We suggest you bookmark the above link.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the sessions.

For inspiration to help you understand the importance of this breathing space, here is Judy Brown’s poem, Fire:

What makes a fire burn
is space between the logs,
a breathing space.
Too much of a good thing,
too many logs
packed in too tight
can douse the flames
almost as surely
as a pail of water would.

So building fires
requires attention
to the spaces in between,
as much as to the wood.

When we are able to build
open spaces
in the same way
we have learned
to pile on the logs,
then we can come to see how
it is fuel, and absence of the fuel
together, that make fire possible

We only need to lay a log
lightly from time to time.

A fire
simply because the space is there,
with openings
in which the flame
that knows just how it wants to burn
can find its way.

We hope you can take this time with us to step out of our normal doing mode and move consciously into a place of simply being.
